COLIN FARRELL WILL ATTEND IFTA AWARDS CEREMONY TONIGHT

The IFTA Awards Ceremony is one of the most prestigious nights in the Irish entertainment and cultural calendar and this year is shaping up to being a night of great celebration for the industry.
 
The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) will welcome the cream of Ireland’s creative talent from the world of film and television as they gather in Dublin on Saturday night (February 20th) to acknowledge and celebrate the Irish industry’s achievements both at home and abroad.

The 7th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards take place in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel on Saturday 20th February 2010. The IFTA ceremony broadcasts live on RTÉ One at 9.35pm.

ANGELS BRING HOPE TO DUBLIN, BUT WILL COLIN?

Colin Farrell will be one of the participants in a unique collection of “angels” due to be displayed in Dublin and all over Ireland from Dec 2009 - March 2010. The angels will return to Dublin to be auctioned in aid of three charities.

The 2.4m tall fiberglass angels were constructed from a single mold. An array of Ireland’s finest artists, musicians, sports people and celebrities and a number of international guests have been invited to participate and support this fun initiative by painting and decorating one of the angels using their own designs to show the nation their interpretation of Hope.

We can only hope Colin doesn't decide to pay homage to Alicja with a Polish Mother Angel complete with babe in arms... I'm not sure the Dublin people would be ready for that!
